These terms and conditions govern your use of the Ascent mobile application and coaching services. By accessing or using Ascent, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Ascent provides fitness and nutrition coaching services delivered through our mobile application. The app serves as the delivery platform for personalised coaching programmes.

Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Ascent. By using our services, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
The Service
Ascent provides:
- Personalised workout programming
- Nutrition guidance and meal planning
- Progress tracking tools
- Direct communication with your assigned coach
The app is provided as part of a coaching programme. Access to the app requires an account created by your coach.
Your Account
- Your account is created by your coach when you enrol in a coaching programme
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You must not share your account with others
- You must provide accurate information and keep it updated
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
Health and Safety Disclaimer
Important: Ascent provides fitness and nutrition coaching, not medical advice.
- You should consult a doctor before starting any new exercise or nutrition programme, particularly if you have existing health conditions, injuries, or are taking medication
- You are responsible for disclosing any relevant health information to your coach
- You participate in all exercises and follow all nutrition guidance at your own risk
- If you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention
- Our coaches are fitness professionals, not medical professionals. For medical concerns, consult a qualified healthcare provider
By using Ascent, you confirm that you are physically capable of participating in an exercise programme or have obtained medical clearance to do so.
Your Responsibilities
When using Ascent, you agree to:
- Provide honest and accurate information about your health, injuries, and medications
- Follow your programme as designed or communicate with your coach about modifications
- Log your workouts, meals, and progress data regularly to enable effective coaching
- Communicate openly with your coach about your progress, challenges, and goals
- Use the app only for its intended purpose
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the app
Intellectual Property
All content within the Ascent app, including but not limited to:
- Workout programmes and templates
- Meal plans and nutrition guidance
- App design, graphics, and branding
- Training methodologies
...remains the property of Ascent. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our written permission.
Your personal data (progress photos, logged workouts, etc.) remains your property, subject to the licence you grant us to use it for delivering your coaching service.
Payments
Payment for coaching services is handled outside the app. Payment terms are agreed between you and your coach at the time of enrolment.
By enrolling in a coaching programme, you agree to the payment terms discussed with your coach.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your coaching programme, contact your coach directly to discuss the process and any applicable terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Ascent is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee specific fitness results, weight loss, or performance improvements
- We are not liable for any injuries sustained while following workout programmes
- We are not liable for any adverse reactions to nutrition advice
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of Ascent shall not exceed the amount you paid for coaching services in the 3 months preceding the claim
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Ascent if:
- You breach these terms and conditions
- You provide false or misleading health information
- You engage in abusive behaviour toward coaches or other users
- Your coaching programme ends
Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases. You may request deletion of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the app. Continued use of Ascent after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
